Anyways weekend was a much needed LOOOOONG weekend. But as we all know, it's never long enough! Had friends over for a multi-occasion hot pot gathering at "my place". It was for birthdays, stories about trips, Thanksgiving, "housewarming", you name it! Haven't seen my friends in a large group like this in a long time...need to do this more often!
Sunday was half significant-other time and live-like-a-blachler time. Late night poker action leads to waking up in the afternoon on monday! awesome!
Monday was clean up/catch up day, cleaning up various things, and catching up on some TV. Heroes is awesome, everyone should watch it.
I kinda don't like this report what I did kind of blogs anymore...it seems quite boring. I'll need to come up with some more interesting topics to post!
The more I think about it, the more weird I think I am. I'm overly optimistic, which is a good thing and a bad thing. I always find something positive in everything...seriously.
I get into a fight with Emily, and at the end of the day I'm actually HAPPY about it. I'm happy because:
We've come to some sort of agreement over the subject in question
We gain an better understanding of how things look from each other's point of view
The fact that we're fighting about something semi-important means that the relationship is serious, and that we truly care and love each other.
I feel that the bond between us is stronger because of the discussions we had about said subject.
I mean how SICK is that?!? Finding FOUR positives from getting into a fight!!?
To me, everything good or bad is an experience that makes up this crazy thing we call life. It's the highs and lows part of one's life that makes one's life memorable in my mind. No one tells you a story about a day where nothing eventful happened. And at the end of the day, you learn from that experience (at least I hope I do), add it to your life-long checklist, and you move on.
